I had no idea I would grow up in Canada when I played alone as a child in the little terrace on the barn opposite the Morrone with a spoon, some earth, and shards of tile. Jerzy Soltan said at the end of my thesis presentation on the day I received my Master of Architecture in Urban Design from Harvard, “You’ve now had your fifteen minutes of fame. Don’t let it get to your head.”
That child on the small terrace and that young man at Harvard have both walked their own paths across the wide expanse of transculturalism, standing on two continents. Today, I observe their differences with love, compassion, and comprehension. Similarly, as a ‘firebrand,’ I conduct research on topics that are important to me, with the goal of leaving a better world for future generations.
