Portfolio

The Portfolio consists of selected built and unbuilt projects as well as sketches.

The built and unbuilt projects represent existence and essence, respectively, as expressions of the complex cycle of life. The non-sequential sketches, on the other hand, are snapshots of my architectural journey.

The journey frequently starts with a bright spark, an enticing desire, or a silent insight captured in a few lines and words, resulting in a visual shorthand from thought to hand. Then reality enters and begins to impose pragmatic instruments, which frequently collide with the desired outcome. The effort required to keep those few lines innocent as they become physical structures in space is both limiting and unifying. It is satisfying to see humans living in those ‘lines,’ and the ‘lines’ find joy in living within humans.
